ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WTVY) -- Natural Disasters can hit at any time destroying everything you own in a matter of seconds.

They happen everywhere and some without warning.
"They can and do happen here in Coffee County and nearby areas so we have to be as prepared here as anywhere in the country," said Coffee County Resident Tim Laster.
What do you need to do to be prepared?
"First thing we tell everybody is to have a plan, so make a plan for what you're going to do," said Coffee County EMA Director James Brown.
Residents are not the only ones that Director Brown says should have a plan.
"We're always preparing for those events so that we know what to do, how to respond, how to recover from an event should it happen," said Brown.
If residents are not prepared, emergency responders will be ready to assist.
"During our response and recovery we do our best to help them out with federal grants and money," said Brown.
Tim Laster does not want to see a disaster anytime soon, but is confident emergency agencies will get the job.
"I have perfect faith in him and the volunteers in the county especially those with CERT and our first responders,” said Laster. “They've done it before and I think it's a great team."
