DOTHAN, AL. (WTVY) - The gloomy weather didn't stop runners from participating in the sixth annual Minute Man 5K Run and Walk benefiting the Macy Easom Cancer Foundation.
The 5K kicked off bright and early Saturday morning, starting at 8:00AM at Westgate Park.
All funds raised will go towards the Macy Easom Cancer Foundation.
This year's theme for the run is "Color out Cancer,” which makes it different from what event organizers have done in the past.
Lisa Howard, one of the event coordinators, says "It's just adding something different, just a little something different for the runners. A lot of these runners have come every year, so it's just something different."
There were a little over a hundred participants in this year's race.
