Alabama Health Department will help you kick smokeless tobacco for free

(WTVY) -- The Alabama Department of Public Health offers up to eight weeks of free nicotine patches to people trying to quit chewing tobacco.

The program also offers a Quitline with free individualized coaching services available seven days a week.

According to a 2016 survey, more than 8% of adult Alabamians had used smokeless tobacco in the past 30 days. The same survey showed more than 9% of Alabama teens had used smokeless tobacco in the same time period.
