DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) -- Those gaps you run, hike, and bike past on the Forever Wild Trails in Dothan are about to become something new.
After requests made by park visitors and a $100,000 grant, more advanced routes are coming to the trail.
Four miles will be added to create short tracks and rocks will be introduced on the property.
The new routes will suit visitors of all levels.
"We’ve got to stay focused on the beginners, the people that are just getting into it and want that experience, so we tried to split it in half about half for the beginners to intermediate and half from the intermediate to advance," says Assistant Director of Leisure Services Kim Meeker.
Work on the new routes will begin in January and should be completed by June.
