AARP offering free tax aide for those with questions

DOTHAN, AL. (WTVY) - Looking for help to get your taxes done?
AARP is training volunteers who will do them for you for free.

Thursday was the first of 6-training sessions at the main branch of the Dothan-Houston County Library.
The sessions teach tax laws and update volunteers on the software, so the free tax program can continue.
AARP wants more people to get involved. Even if you''re not a math wizard, you can help out in some way.

"We have roles that don't get involved in taxes: just greeters or client facilitators that sign in the tax payers and get them started filling out the intake sheet. That's another role you can help us out. There are others," said AARP District Coordinator Philip Cunningham.

If you believe you're qualified to help in any of these areas, just go by the main branch of the Dothan Library on Mondays and Thursdays at 10 am.
