7 injured in south Ala. crash, 1 in critical condition

PIKE COUNTY, Al. (WSFA) - A crash in south Alabama left seven people injured, according to Brundidge Police Chief Moses Davenport.

The crash happened Friday along US Highway 231.

According to Pike County High School Principal Willie Wright, three of the people injured in the crash are graduates of Pike County High School and one other is currently an 11th grader. According to Wright, the three former students are said to be recovering and should be OK.

However, Wright says the family of the 11th grader told him the student is currently in a coma. Wright says this is “a tough time for parents” and said it’s “very sad that happened.”
