Dothan 4th graders decorate Christmas tree with Alabama history

DOTHAN, Al. (WTVY) - A Christmas tree almost touching the ceiling lights up the hallways of Montana Street Magnet School in Dothan.

The tree is decked with homemade ornaments made by 4th graders in Ashley Adkinson's class.

Every year there is a theme and this year it is "Road Trippin through Alabama."

From a rocket at the Alabama Space Center in Huntsville to Enterprise's Boll Weevil monument, each ornament represents counties across Alabama. The students learn about each county in Alabama history lessons.
