We're keeping an eye an a broad cluster of storms in the southern Caribbean set to move into the southwest Gulf as we head towards the weekend. Potential impacts for the coast could be more rain for the southeast Saturday and Sunday which would further help our drought deficit.
In the far east Atlantic near the Cape Verde Islands, tropical depression fifteen has formed with sustained winds around 35-40 mph. It's forecast to slowly drift NW eventually fizzling out by this weekend. The remainder of the tropics are tranquil at this time.
