A slight risk for severe weather is in place for the Wiregrass tonight, lasting into the early morning hours of Thursday.

By the later evening hours (between 5-7pm) a few isolated storms will begin to develop to our western counties. Heavy downpours are a possibility and strong, gusty winds will be likely as well. This line of storms will make its way across southeastern Alabama by the evening hours, with some storms likely lasting into the overnight hours.

The tornado threat within this storm system is not looking promising. The main weather threat we are expecting is strong winds within the thunderstorms by the later evening hours.

A few showers may linger into the early morning hours of Thursday.
