4WARN Weather: Dangerous Heat

From a climatology perspective our average high temperature is around 87 degrees at this point in May; however, it's not uncommon to see 5-7 degree fluctuation from this. Now when we see changes of 10+ degrees that is a bit out of the ordinary. Late this week and over the weekend we have the potential so see highs near 100 degrees with heat index values in the 103-107 ballpark.

Safety is imperative when we reach temps of this magnitude and there's a few safety tips to adhere by if you're planning to be outside.
Keep hydrated
Work/be in the shade when possible
If you overhead a cool rag helps to regulate body temperature
Take breaks and don't overexert yourself
