PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) -- Some students at Florida State University Panama City found out just how much a hug is really worth.

Organizers with Campus Life at FSU Panama City helped set up a Coke machine on campus, but it wasn't just any Coca-Cola machine.

It was built with sensors inside so when students hug, it a soda drops down.

The "Hug Me" Coca-Cola machine was there for only one day this week, but students are still talking about the experience.

"Pretty much everybody who came to the front door was so surprised, they ended up giving it a shot. I think a lot of the students quite enjoyed it," Wyatt Lewis, president of the student government council said.

Other students say word about the machine spread around campus pretty quickly.

"I thought it was pretty cool. I heard how they set up all the sensors and stuff to be able to hug it," Lee Lowery, a senior, mentioned. "How they got like the two side sensors and the front sensor and yet being an electrical engineer student, I thought that was pretty cool."

Organizers said it took about two weeks to get the "Hug Me" Coke machine to come to the school.
