Sean Sporman

Producer, WTVY
Dothan, AL

Sean became a part of the WTVY news team in March of 2012. He is excited to help bring those waking up all across the Wiregrass—and the world, if watching online—the latest news from the area and beyond. He produces on the News 4 This Morning weekday broadcast.

Before working in the Dothan area, Sean cut his broadcast teeth through Troy University’s TrojanVision, part of their broadcast journalism program. There, he was the lead weather anchor for three years. But, he also anchored and reported some, as well as learning how to produce and more. He later interned at WSFA News 12 in Montgomery.

He enjoys any opportunity to be creative with the aspects of producing a newscast. Whether that’s bring a story you may not hear anywhere else, a unique way to present a story, or even a clever introduction, Sean tries to make every aspect of the show he produces as unique and compelling as possible.

Sean’s hobbies include tracking and following weather, writing, reading, video games, comic books and more.
