Meteorologist, Multimedia Journalist
Panama City, FL
She has been passionate about meteorology her whole life, especially tropical meteorology growing up in central Florida. She went to college at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach where she majored in Meteorology and minored in Air Traffic Control. She interned throughout her senior year of college at 2 Orlando TV stations and helped out with hurricane Irma coverage; that is when she realized the TV industry was what she wanted to be a part of.
After graduation, she decided to go an adventure far away from home to Bangor, Maine. She knew that if she wanted to be a skilled meteorologist, she needed to go forecast weather that was different than what she knew. After 2 winters, this Florida girl was ready to return to a warmer climate.
She then spent 2.5 years as a Meteorologist / Weather Producer at The Weather Channel where she got to experience all seasons of weather for the whole nation such as landfalling tropical systems, severe weather outbreaks, snowstorms, earthquakes, and wildfires. She gained many new skills in weather presentation and graphics producing. She collaborated with the on-camera talent to make sure they had the elements and content needed to make their story telling a success. Some of her favorite graphics to produce were ones for augmented reality shows to bring weather to life.
After spending a few years in Atlanta, she was ready to be back on-air again and back home in the Sunshine State. She is very excited to be close to home and a part of the community to keep everyone informed when it comes to the weather. When she isn't talking weather all day, you can probably find her on the beach with her fiancé, playing some golf, plane spotting, or spoiling her cats.
