Carmen was born and raised in Elkton, Maryland, but he is no stranger to Alabama.
He graduated in May 2019, from Huntingdon College in Montgomery, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications with a Minor in Political Science.
While studying, Carmen won a conference championship playing Division 3 Men’s Lacrosse, was a PA announcer for his college’s athletic operations, and interned at our sister station, WSFA.
Carmen attended Huntingdon College on a choir scholarship, after earning All-State honors in high school.
When he’s not anchoring or watching news, you can find him refereeing flag football in Dothan.
Carmen tells us he is an animal lover – especially cats and dogs. He has 3 cats and hopes to adopt a dog soon.
Carmen started reporting for WTVY in August 2019 before he began anchoring News 4 This Morning and Live at Lunch in May 2020.
In January 2022, Carmen began co-anchoring News 4 at 5 and 6 with Taylor Pollock after long-time anchor Reginald Jones retired.
