DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) — In keeping with its tradition as Your Hometown News Leader, News4 proudly presents The Pink Plan, which focuses on breast cancer survivors.

Anchored by Beyla Walker, this 30-minute program chronicles the victorious battles of Mary Floyd, Kimberly Thomas, and Kelli Cundith.

Those three survivors will join Walker to discuss their hard-fought journey and inspire others.

“It shares their stories of strength and sisterhood,” said Anthony Thomas, The Pink Plan’s executive producer.

According to the American Cancer Society, nearly 300,000 breast cancer cases will be diagnosed in American women this year, with over 40,000 dying.

Shalona Brown, currently battling the disease, will also appear during the News4 presentation.

“While we professionally present news of the day, I believe our longest-lasting influence on our valued viewers is in the special programming we produce,” Thomas said.

The program airs Tuesday, October 24, at 4:00 p.m. on WTVY (CBS) and WRGX (NBC).
