HOUSTON COUNTY, Ala. (WTVY) - Two people already facing child sex charges in Dale County are also accused of crimes elsewhere, including Human Trafficking allegations facing one of those suspects.

Multiple sources confirmed to WTVY News 4 that arrest warrants were issued in Houston County this week for Laura Edens and James Crum.

Edens, 29, is charged with Human Trafficking and other crimes, while Crum, 33, is accused of Sodomy, Rape, and Traveling to Meet a Minor for an Unlawful Sex Act.

Specifics of the charges will not be made public due to the sensitivity of allegations.

Dale County deputies arrested the pair last week following a multi-state investigation that allegedly revealed Crum traveled from his Florida home to Dale County and had relations with a girl under 12.

Edens is charged in Dale County with two counts of Sexual Abuse involving and one count of Possession of Child Pornography.

Crum faces Sexual Abuse of a Child Under 12, Possession of Child Pornography, two counts of Rape, and one count of Traveling to Meet a Minor for Sex Acts.

Crum and Edens won’t be formally arrested on Houston County charges until their release from the Dale County Jail where they are held on combined bonds of $550,000.

All charges pertain to a single victim.

Federal investigators are also considering charges, according to sources.

The Department of Justice and FBI do no confirm or comment regarding ongoing investigations.
