OZARK, Ala. (WTVY) - The Carroll boys basketball team is set to take the big stage in Birmingham Wednesday, as the Eagles continue to soar to new heights.

This will mark the first time in program history that Carroll has made a state tournament appearance.

It has been a long road for this Eagles squad but they are not finished.

This is a senior heavy Carroll team that wants to bring home a ring in their final season wearing the red and white.

For the players, it is all about leaving a legacy as an Eagle.

“It feels good because later on when we come back we’ll have something to talk about, like we were the only team that did it,” said senior Jordan Killings. “It means a lot. We’re trying to get the job done, go all the way and keep making history.”

Senior Raquille Reed added, “I’ll feel like a legend. To be able to come back as the first team to win state here, that would be a blessing because it’s all I’ve been asking for my whole high school experience.”

Carroll will take the court with Ramsay Wednesday at 4:30 in a Class 5A final four matchup inside Legacy Arena.
