JACO Angels holds monthly food distribution
JACKSON COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - After Hurricane Michael swept through Jackson County, a few locals saw the need for a food distribution, and that’s when they began JACO Angels.
JACO Angels host a food distribution at least once a month at Greenwood Community Park to hand out food to Jackson County residents in need. Every car is allowed up to four bags, and usually, 300 to 400 people are served. The food being given out included fruits, vegetables and even meats.
Although this nonprofit organization was started because of Hurricane Michael, it has continued because people in Jackson County are still in need. Upon request, they also do deliveries for people who are unable to get out of their house.
