The community was so impressed with Brian Fleming’s inspiring message in 2019, Sunset is excited to welcome him back this year. His message, “Overcome in 2021”, is sure to encourage guests of all ages. Brian is a combat-wounded Afghanistan war veteran, international speaker, and resilience trainer who helps people be more resilient in tough, turbulent situations. He was severely wounded in action by a suicide bomber who exploded 3-feet away from him in Kandahar, Afghanistan. After enduring 14-months of painful burn treatments, rehabilitation, and reconstructive surgery, he discovered what separates the world’s most resilient people from everyone else, and those same lessons are exactly what he will share with the Wiregrass. Brian now serves as a Department of Defense “Resilience Trainer” for the US Military on bases and outposts across the globe. He also conducts “Resilient Leadership” keynotes for Fortune 500 companies, associations, and organizations across the globe and is an author of several books. He and his wife are parents to two young children and live in Dallas, Texas.
