DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) - The Ozark City School board announced this evening their top pick for the new superintendent. Eufaula High School Principal Reeivice Girtman was unanimously agreed on by the board.

Girtman’s 100 day plan, his desire for teamwork within the school district along with his professional accomplishments is what set him apart from the others.

Board President, Theresa Locke, said he also fits what the community was looking for in a superintendent.

“Where people here in Ozark actually expressed their desires what do you want in a superintendent many expressed the need for diversity so now we have Mr.Girtman he is a black man they wanted a younger more active person he’s younger he’s active he’s a former athlete he’s highly educated he’s well rounded has an immaculate record he’s done some very outstanding things in Eufaula and the other positions that he has had so we look forward to working with him and I hope that Ozark will receive this highly qualified individual and work with him.”

The board will meet again on May 26th at noon to announce further the steps in the process.
