Police: Teen killed south Alabama woman

The suspect has been charged as an adult and is held on $1 million bond.

DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) -An Andalusia teen is charged with murder in connection to the shooting of a young woman earlier this week.

Damien Beasley, 17, is suspected of shooting the juvenile whose identity, to include her age, has not been released. He is charged as an adult.

Andalusia Police Chief Paul Hudson said officers received information of a possible shooting on Tuesday night.

Though an autopsy, they determined the victim had been shot once and Hudson said the suspected murder weapon has been found.

No additional information about he crime has been provided.

Hudson thanks the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, SBI, the Covington County Drug Task Force, and the Covington County District Attorney’s office for their assistance.

Beasley is held on $1 million bond.
