DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) - In August of 2020 the ground was broken to begin the building of the Geneva County SPEC Building at the Geneva Industrial Park, lots of progress has been done since that day.
The commission is constructing this 45,000 square foot building to be more competitive to economic development, also with the goal of bringing in more jobs to the area.
The SPEC building is looking to be complete by May.
“We’ve had multiple inquires and some serious interest in the building so far and we’re hoping to have a manufacturer in place in the next couple of months if things go as planned,” Toby Seay, Probate Judge and Commission Chairman, said.
Chairman Seay said there are no guarantees, but the talks have been promising so far.
