DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) - The Wiregrass Area Food Bank is collecting soup for seniors enrolled in the Brown Bag Program.

Food Bank Assistant Director Julie Gonzalez says, “There is no better way to fight the chill of winter weather than by warming up with a hot bowl of soup. Soup is filling, nutritious, and easy to prepare, which makes it a perfect addition to the groceries given out through the Brown Bag program.”

Anyone can help by donating soup to the Food Bank’s soup collection with Toyota of Dothan at Southside Walmart from 8 AM until 5 PM Friday, Feb. 12; by donating soup to the Wiregrass Area Food Bank at 382 Twitchell Road; or by donating money to the Food Bank designated as a donation for “soup for seniors.”

Call the Food Bank at 334-794-9775 for more information

Note: The “Souper Bowl” Canned Soup Collection was previously scheduled for Feb. 7th but had to be reschedued.
