CRESTVIEW, Fla. (WTVY) - UPDATE: The Okaloosa County Sheriffs Office said Aiden has been returned home to his family and is safe. A homeowner on Lakeview Street spotted him around 4:30 p.m. and called the OCSO. Aiden had run towards a lake and was hiding but deputies found him this time.

The Okaloosa County Sheriffs Office is needing the public’s help in finding an autistic child.

13-year-old Aiden Howey was last seen leaving home Saturday morning in the Shoffner Boulevard area near Crestview. A security camera caught the boy leaving Howey leaving his home, but he did not return. Aiden has been spotted a few times but then runs into woods.

The Sheriffs Office has been tracking Aiden using K9′s. The office is asking that residents in the area check around their homes, sheds, and other buildings.

If anyone sees him, just dial 911 or call our OCSO dispatch number at 689-5705.
