Poplar Springs three-point shooting machine
Zaimes Hall is one of Florida’s best shooters
GRACEVILLE, Fla. (WTVY) - Poplar Springs senior, Zaimes Hall, is not only one of the best three-point shooters in the state of Florida.
He also ranks towards the top in the entire country.
“I like any open shot but I would say my three-point is probably my best shot, and my most consistent,” Hall said. So, I like shooting it a lot.”
The Atomics senior is lights out from three-point range shooting a blistering 44% from behind the arc.
“Nobody that I’ve seen takes 12-15 three-pointers a game and hits almost half of them,” Poplar Springs Head Coach, Jared Owen, said. “That’s unheard of at the high school level. It’s almost like it’s a cheat code.”
Hall is automatic from the three-point line, knocking down 103 triples so far this season.
And he’s not done yet.
Hall added, “I don’t think I made 100 in the whole season last year. So, to see that we’re not even finished with the season. We’ve still got three or four weeks left and hopefully playoffs and everything and I’ve already made 100 and exceeded last year. That’s pretty cool to see.”
It also makes life pretty easy on his teammates.
“We have a lot of faith in him,” Maison Ealum, Hall’s teammate, said. “If we’re running a play it’s more than likely going into his hands and he can make a play happen. He just doesn’t miss.”
Another teammate, Bayley Nelson, added “When he gets going not too many people can guard him. And it’s just nice having him on the court at all times. A comfort.”
The prolific three-point shooting guard is putting up unbelievable numbers in his final season with the Atomics as Hall hopes to lead this team to a championship.
