DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) -A Dothan pharmacist will plead guilty to illegally distributing pain pills.
Richard Allen Strickland, who owned Allen’s pharmacy, first denied his involvement but has decided to change his plea.
Strickland will admit that he dispensed pain killers without a prescription to those who peddled the drugs on a consignment type basis, paying Strickland afterwards.
An eight-month investigation determined that Strickland provided Percocet, Oxycodone, Roxicodone, and Hydrocodone, according to a U.S. Department of Justice complaint.
Allen’s Pharmacy has been closed since Strickland’s arrest in July.
