Girl Scouts cookies are back in town
DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) - Girl Scouts troops in the Wiregrass received their first shipment of cookies today.
You can say hello to a new cookie flavor and get ready to say goodbye to a classic one.
Girl Scout representatives in Dothan and Enterprise collected their share from about 2,000 cases of cookies to distribute to their troops to prepare for cookie booths.
In light of the pandemic, there will be fewer booth setups, a few contactless measures and you’ll also have the choice to order online.
All cookie flavors are four dollars a box except the gluten-free caramel chocolate chip cookies which are five dollars a box.
One flavor you won’t be able to find is the Thanks-A-Lot cookie because it’s been replaced with something new.
“We have a brand new cookie this year. It’s called the toast-yay cookie and it is a cinnamon-flavored inspired cookie so we’re hoping it’s going to do really well. This is also the last year for our smores cookie so if you are a lover of the smores cookie you need to stock up. This is your last chance,” says Girl Scouts service unit manager Priscilla Warren.
Troops will be leaving door hangers with order sheets on doors soon but if you can’t wait you can download the cookie finder app and it will tell you where to find the nearest cookie booth.
