Two arrested after child abduction incident in Panama City Beach
PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) -
Two people have been arrested following a domestic incident at a Panama City Beach hotel.
Panama City Beach police say Stassie Greer, 26, of St. Louis Missouri and Sade Lana of Jackson, Mississippi entered the hotel room of Greer’s ex-girlfriend Sunday when an argument ensued regarding a child that Greer and the victim have in common. Greer allegedly battered the victim. Then, when the victim attempted to keep him from leaving, police say Greer showed the victim a handgun, took her phone and the child, and then fled the scene with Lana.
A BOLO was issued for Greer, Lana, the child, and the type of car that they fled in. Police say the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and Florida Highway Patrol were able to locate the suspects and child at a convenience store in Chipley. The child was unharmed.
Warrants were issued for Greer for armed robbery, aggravated assault, interference with child custody, and domestic violence. Warrants issued for Lana include principal to armed robbery, principal to aggravated assault, and principal to interfere with child custody. Both suspects were taken to the Washington County Jail to await extradition to Bay County.
