Jackson County Health Dept. administers vaccines by drive thru

For those who are 65 years and older as well as health care workers.

DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) - Hundreds in Holmes, Washington, and Jackson counties received their Moderna, COVID-19 vaccines on Wednesday.

A drive thru distribution was held throughout the day on Wednesday for those who are 65 years and older as well as health care workers.

67-year-old, Paula Wright, said she has looked forward to this day since the vaccine was first talked about.

After receiving the vaccine, she said she felt fine and no different than she did when she drove up.

“Getting the vaccine will make me feel more at ease, there’s hope that 2021 is going to be a much better year because of the vaccine and the wonderful people who are making it available to us,” Wright said.
