Pleasant Weather Tuesday, Storms Arrive Thursday

SYNOPSIS – Skies will be sunny through much of the day Tuesday with just a few clouds expected. A light breeze will be persistent through the day from the east at 5-10 miles per hour. Temperatures will be warm during the afternoon in the upper 60s and mild overnight with temps back in the middle 40s. Dry conditions prevail until early Thursday when a storm system ramps up in the deep south, bringing the threat of heavy rain, damaging winds and an isolated, brief tornado. The associated cold front pulls through by Friday morning, leaving behind a westerly flow and cooler conditions for the weekend.
