Dale County Relay for Life holds drive through luminary service
DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) - COVID-19 forced the Dale County Relay for Life to cancel their annual event back in May but they were not letting that stop them from paying tribute.
To replace their typical event, hey held a luminary drive through service to honor those who are currently fighting their battle with cancer and remembering those who lost their fight with cancer.
Police Memorial Park was lined with over 400 luminaries and 40 torches
“Each bag represents a person someone in their family a loved one and we didn’t want anyone to feel like we had just put them aside we wanted to honor them and to honor our cancer survivors and honor those that we have lost to cancer,” said Kim Moore – Co-Chair for Dale County Relay for Life.
The Dale County Relay for Life is always accepting donations, if you would like to donate you can do so through this website.
