DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) - Thanksgiving is not over for everyone, Oak Grove Pentecostal ministries will host their third annual Feast in the Streets and Jacket event on Saturday, December 5th.

Christians Who Care and Seeds of Love Children’s Ministry will provide free homecooked meals and jackets to those in need in the community from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m.

They have collected roughly 200 jackets of all sizes for children and adults. You must be present to receive a coat.

People can eat at the event or take their food to go.

However, the event is about more than just being physically fed.

“Also have bible tracks and bibles that are going to be available to people and my husband will be out here preaching as well,” Connie Roney, Christians Who Care, said. “So they will be able to be feed spiritually and physically.”

Covid precautions will be taken at the event. The cooks will wear masks and gloves and tables will be social distanced.

The event is being held outdoors beside Badcock Furniture in Geneva. That’s just off of Magnolia Avenue.
