Car strikes police officer directing traffic
That officer had stopped traffic along Ross Clark Circle as a wrecker was positioned to tow off a vehicle damaged in an earlier wreck.

DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) -A Dothan police officer struck by a car while directing traffic along a busy roadway Sunday night escaped with only minor injuries.
“He suffered lacerations, contusions, and abrasions but appears to be doing well and should be released after treatment,” said Police Chief Steve Parrish after visiting the officer at a local hospital.
That officer had stopped traffic along Ross Clark Circle as a wrecker was positioned to tow off a vehicle damaged in an earlier wreck. That’s when a car failed to stop on the wet roadway.
No charges are expected.
