DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) --

Murphy Family Restaurants and the Wiregrass Area Food Bank are teaming up to make sure no one goes without this holiday season!

Their mission is to collect food donations for their annual stuff the semi event.

The most needed items on their list are frozen hams and turkeys although any holiday meal items are appreciated.

The two organizations are also encouraging everyday food items since the food bank’s supply is lower than normal this year.

This year’s event does not even require you to get out of your vehicle!

“It’s important for us to be involved this year because the pandemic and the need out there just from the general public,” Murphy Family Restaurants Marketing Director Eddie Byrd. “A lot of people are hungry and can’t afford the food for Thanksgiving meals so come out, help us support and bring some food.”

The semi will be located outside the Northside McDonalds in Dothan on Thursday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
