Alabama Secretary of State, John Merrill said, “So many people that have committed themselves to be veterans and served our nation have distinguished themselves by actually recognizing a calling that was bigger than themselves and their contribution to make sure that our nation as able to maintain its integrity and it was able to maintain its strength is something that’s very dear to me.”
Houston County Commissioner and veteran, Douglas Sinquefield said, “What am important day it is for those who wore the military uniform in all branches of service.”
Robbins said, “Unless you’ve been part of it in war with someone you just really can’t explain the brotherhood you’ve got and the good people you’re around, it’s amazing.”
Robbins said, “It’s good people with good morals selfless service, good character, respect, they put others first before themselves and they put themselves in harm every day.”
