OZARK, Ala. (WTVY) - After making the playoffs in 2016 and 2017, the Carroll Eagles have missed out on the postseason the last two seasons.

Enter new head coach Patrick Plott who has Carroll back in the promised land in 2020.

Carroll earning the three-seed in Class 5A Region 2 and will match up against Selma in Friday’s first round.

Friday’s game will be the first time the Eagles have taken the field for a game since October 16, after missing the final two games due to COVID issues.

But now that they are back, the Eagles are ready to soar to hopefully a state title.

“We have to play a complete game. Offense, defense and special teams,” said Plott. “Those guys are very explosive on offense so we can’t give up the big play. Again, we have to play a complete game. This time of the year is exciting because there’s only a few teams that are practicing now and we’re glad to be one of them.”
