Dothan’s John Ferguson named to Tuberville transition team

A Dothan city commissioner, Ferguson coordinated campaign efforts for Tuberville in southeast Alabama.

AUBURN, Ala. (WTVY) -John Ferguson of Dothan has been named to a ten-member team that will transition Tommy Tuberville into the U.S. Senate. Stan McDonald of Huntsville chairs that committee.

“I’m happy to part of this team and hope I can represent the values of Coach Tuberville, the Republican Party, and Alabama citizens during this important time,” Ferguson told WTVY.

A Dothan city commissioner, Ferguson coordinated campaign efforts for Tuberville in southeast Alabama. The former Auburn football coach will take office in January, replacing U.S. Senator Doug Jones, whom Tuberville defeated.

Others appointed by Tuberville to assist with his transition are Trip Skipper of Auburn, Terry Harbin of Mobile, Duwan Walker of Prattville, Jeff Brooks of Birmingham, Steve Raby and R.J. Rhodes of Huntsville, and Chester McKinney of Florence.

Also named is John Wahl, Vice-Chairman of the Alabama Republican Party.
