An active Halloween weekend in the City of Progress starting Friday.

Spooky in the City kicks off the festivities on Friday replacing Spooky in the Park.

“It was very important that we still provided something fun and safe for our community to do and this not only is just a drive-thru trick-or-treat it’s also a game,” said Enterprise Parks and Recreation Program Director Mariah Montgomery.

Even if you didn’t register for spooky in the city, you can still enjoy the night out.

“We also welcome anybody to come through and just get the free goodies from our sponsors, they’ve been wonderful and they’re going to be really awesome stops,” said Montgomery.

If you’re more interested in showing off that costume you’ve worked hard on--head over to Milky Moo’s for Saturday’s contest.

“Registration is at 10 and the contest will start at 11,” Director of Main Street Enterprise Cassidi Kendrick. “We have prizes for first through third place and then a group prize for if anyone shows up with a few people in their little pod.”

There will be plenty of spooky fun throughout the day.

“We do fifth Saturday events every month that has a fifth Saturday so this one is trick-or-treat on Main Street,” Kendrick added.

If you’re still trying to satisfy that sweet tooth.

Yancy Parker’s and the rest of the Westgate Shopping Center will be outside their stores handing out candy from 5 to 7 p.m.
