Police: Woman on drugs caused fatal traffic wreck in Dothan

DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) -A woman has been charged with murder in connection to a fatal traffic wreck that happened this month.

Ty’Kerria Ni’Chelle Duncan drove under the influence of a controlled substance, according to a Dothan Police Department statement.

The collision killed Kayla Metcalf of Ozark, and critically injured three children in her car. Also hurt was a passenger in Duncan’s vehicle.

In addition to murder, Duncan is also charged with four counts of assault. She is held without bond in the Dale County Jail.
