DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) -A single vehicle wreck has taken the life of a Wicksburg area man, whose compact pickup truck ran off a Houston County road on Wednesday.evening.

57-year old Randall Bruce Thomlin had not been wearing a seat belt and apparently had consumed alcohol when his 2001 Mazda crashed along Hubbard Road, about five miles west of Dothan. Speed is also a likely a factor, said officers.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, per Alabama State Trooper Sergeant Michael Simmons.

Houston County public court records reveal Thomlin had a history of traffic infractions, including DUI, Harassment, and resisting arrest.
