ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WTVY) -- Money from the Cares Act is being used in the City of Progress to help keep everyone safe.

15-hand sanitizer stations have been purchased.

They will be placed at city hall, the farmer’s market and around downtown Enterprise in high traffic areas.

City leaders say the sanitizer stations will be out for large city events like the upcoming fall festival.

“The businesses have had to make so many adaptations to their operations everyday so we thought that putting some of these downtown would help take some of the stress and burden off of them having ways people could sanitize while they were down there,” said Main Street Enterprise Director Cassidi Kendrick.

The sanitizer station purchase came after a Facebook survey, in which people indicated what they would like downtown to help keep people safe during the pandemic.
