HEADLAND, Ala. (WTVY) - CornDodgers Farm is gearing up to open their gates tomorrow for their fall season.

Opening weekend at CornDodgers farms is special because its aimed at celebrating heroes.

CornDodgers Farm Co- Owner Amanda Knight said, “It was the only way we knew to thank them for all they do and their families too because they sacrifice so much, their time away, worrying about their loved ones so that was just our way to give back it was a very important thing for us to do.”

This weekends purpose is to honor those who put their lives on the line for our freedoms and although CornDodgers primary way of celebrating them is through a half off discount their corn maze is a celebration in and of itself.

CornDodgers theme for this year is America the beautiful. This is the third year that they have had a weekend specifically to designated to celebrating active and retired military and first responders.

"This has been a wild year, we didn’t know how exactly we were going to open but we are going to open all of our attractions they will be all operated at your own discretion and risk,” Knight said.

With 18 hand sanitizing stations and plenty of space to spread out CornDodgers is ready for the next 4 weekends.

Knight said, “We really just want to offer a wholesome family time for people, something to get away from all the stress that this year has brought on and to be able to get out in the fresh air and have fun.”

This year the farm will be opening a new paintball attraction along with all their usual attractions people come to see.
