ESCC enrollment up even with COVID-19 restrictions
ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WTVY) --
Enterprise State Community College announcing big news this week with enrollment numbers coming in.
Despite many empty classrooms, Enterprise State Community College has seen a 2.6% increase in enrollment for the fall.
“This is a testament to teamwork on a part of really everyone here at the college to really push through a very difficult time and turn a very difficult situation into a success,” said ESCC President Matt Rodgers.
Rodgers credits strong communication as a focal point for the increase.
“We were able to stay in touch with a lot of our students both here at Enterprise State and at the Alabama Aviation College - stay connected with them through a very difficult time.”
There is a little bit of everything for students enrolling at the college.
“We have online classes; we have hybrid classes and we also have traditional face-to-face classes,” Rodgers added.
Rodgers and the rest of his staff are working towards a plan to bring more students back on campus for the spring
“We continue to solicit input from our instructors as well as our students, we will be meeting again this week and we are in the process of formulating our spring schedule.”
ESCC has seen 6 consecutive semesters with an increased enrollment.
