DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) - Dothan police investigators have filed capital murder charges on a second person in the death of Christina Moore earlier this month.

Moore was shot and killed in the middle of the night while sleeping in her South Lena Street home.

24-year-old Dontavian McCree is charged with capital murder, shooting into an occupied dwelling and attempted murder.

McCree was located at a residence in Ashford by police and investigators and members of the US Marshal’s Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force.

Sources told WTVY that Moore was not the intended target and was asleep at the time of the shooting.

It happened during the overnight hours of September 6.

Earlier this week police also charged Phillip Barkley, Jr. with capital murder, attempted murder and shooting into an occupied dwelling.
