Lights on in the Wiregrass, many still dark in AL, FL

DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) - According to outage maps pretty much everyone in the Wiregrass has their power back on as of Thursday morning, but hundreds of thousands are still without around where Hurricane Sally came ashore.

Wiregrass Electric Coop shows  0 outages in their service area and Pea River Electric Coop has only 1 outage affecting 3 houses in Barbour County.

The website PowerOutages.us says all total 285,813 people are still without power across Alabama as of 7:00 Am Thursday.

Also according to PowerOutages.us many Florida Panhandle residents are still in the dark.

Over 90% of the homes in Escambia County and 52% of customers in Santa Rosa County are without service.

West Florida Electric Coop reports 1 outage affecting 3 houses in Jackson County.

CHELCO which serves Walton & Okaloosa Counties shows 1,549 customers still without power down from a high of 3,094.
