Substitute teacher in Dale County faces student sex charges
OZARK, Ala. (WTVY) -A Dale County substitute teacher has been charged with having inappropriate sexual communications with students. Darius Salter of Midland City was booked on two counts of Possession of Obscene Matter.
An investigation that began Monday resulted in Salter’s quick arrest, said Dale County Chief Deputy Mason Bynum. Salter was a substitute teacher at South Dale Middle School and Dale County High School.
“Our investigation shows all the communications between the suspect and and victims were done electronically. We do not believe any contact was made between the victims and (Salter),” Bynum said in a statement.
He predicts additional charges will be filed.
