OPP, Ala. (WTVY) - It’s easy to see there is no love lost between the Elba Tigers and Opp Bobcats.

"They talk. We talk," said Opp running back Brady James. "Just have to settle it on Friday."

"I have family over there and we've been talking crap to each other," said Elba lineman Jaden Juarez. "We usually get Opp's number. We're feeling pretty confident about us and our abilities."

Both teams enter the match up coming off blowout wins, but both know those games won't matter come Friday.

"Really at the end of the day we have to focus," said Opp head coach Brent Hill. "It doesn't matter who we play. Really every coach will tell you this, you're number one opponent is yourself. We want to create turnovers on defense. We want to make sure we don't have turnovers on offense. We're looking for first downs and points."

"We're going to focus on us during the game," said Elba head coach Marc Sieving. "We're going to try and run our coverages correctly. We want our D-line to be fast and put a little pressure on the quarterback if possible. Offensively, we'd like to be able to run the football."

Opp will try to match physicality with Elba while the Tigers will try to slowdown the Bobcat offense

"They have a pretty good quarterback," said Juarez. "He's got a good arm. They have some big lineman."

“They’re a very physical team. They pride themselves on that,” said Opp quarterback Hal Smithart. “They’re going to try to slow the clock down on offense, but if we play our game, I think we have a good chance at winning.”
