DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) - Jason Reneau nearly avoided a runoff in his hopes of becoming the next mayor of Kinsey. He and Anthony White will face each other October 6 after Reneau came up just four shorts from winning the race outright.

Current mayor Charles Douglas finished a distant third.

In the race for council, Vivian Jones and Austin McCardle finished with the most votes among the 10 candidate field for the open council seat.
