DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) -Dale Co High School is continuing to make big improvements to their outdoor athletic venues. They held a ribbon cutting for their new ticket booth at Warrior Stadium.

The booth is part of a 300-thousand dollar project. Along with a new parking lot with LED lighting has already been completed.

New lighting for the football stadium is currently in the works.

“It all comes back to the kids their education and extra circular activities and of course in a situation like this when people from all over the communities are coming to the ball games it benefits the whole area and benefits all citizens if felt this was something that really needed to be done,” said Steve Clouse - State Representative District 93.

“Our students will have the best as far as places to learn and to play and it is also exciting for the communities because the local school is the shinning light on the hill for the communities we pride ourselves in having nice facilities all over dale county and we are going to continue to build on that and make things better for our kids,” said Ben Baker - Dale County Superintendent.

In the past four years the district has spent close to 5-million dollars on upgrades, and has budgeted another 5-million for the next four years.
