Things to know before heading to the polls

DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) - One of the biggest things to remember,polling locations are not allowed to turn anyone away for not wearing a mask.

Although you are still encouraged to wear your masks and social distance, in the state of Alabama you have the right to vote mask or no mask.

When you head to the polls you need a valid photo id. You can find a list of acceptable ID’s can be found on the Alabama Secretary of State’s website.

You can also make sure you’re eligible to vote and where the polling locations are in your area.

Finally - if you have concerns while voting tomorrow you are encouraged to call the Secretary of State’s office to report voting irregularities.

Polls will be open from 7 in the morning until 7 in the evening on Tuesday August 25th.
